Organized By: Supported By: Sanctioned By: - A triathlon for people with special needs, by TOUCH Community Services TOUCH Community Services is organising the Special-Tri, a first-ever triathlon for people with these special needs - the Deaf, people living with diabetes and the intellectually disabled. Supported by the Triathlon Association of Singapore, the aim of this Special-Tri is to promote sporting excellence in this community and help them overcome limits to growth.
A distinctive feature of this Special-Tri is that each Relay Team will comprise of one special needs person, and two other participants who are family members or friends. This affirms our belief that with family and community support, individuals with special needs can be empowered to be independent, confident and resilient as they face the challenges of life. Date: 9 June 2007 (Saturday) Time: 8.30am-1.30pm

Sports and Recreation Centre Who can participate in the Special-Tri - Persons who have hearing impairment, diabetes or intellectual disabilities, as well as their family members and friends. Sign language interpreting will be provided when necessary.
- Persons without special needs can participate only in the Relay segment. The Organisers would be happy to assist in matching participants to form their Relay team, where possible.
